Taking a Breather!

Aloha team, I was ready to move on from the shooter but today I did do a few bug fixes on my Shooter first before moving on since they were nagging me. Stopped the animation from moving on the boss when he died and fixed an issue with my units teleporting. The sound issues I’ll revisit later on when I learn about audio plug ins, etc. After that I watched a 4.5 hour video on C# and read a few articles on programming. It was a nice break from racking my brain trying to figure out all the crazy ideas I wanted to implement in the game.

I needed a break from the grind and the videos were a nice change of pace and also very very helpful. I learned a lot of new cool instructions and methods that I can use in the future. I decided to stop counting my days as well since it was putting undue pressure on my obsessive mind! This is a lifelong journey after all…so who is counting anyway. I’m going to kind of go with the flow this week and then jump into the cinematography when I am ready for the next step. Its nice to know that we still have access to the course material after Dec 28th so I can continue on and eventually complete all 12 modules. I really am enjoying my time and learning so much, I truly hope for everybody’s sake that the State does approve additional funding so everyone can stay engaged and focused on learning Software Development instead of shifting gears and worry about finding a way to their bills.

Prayers to everyone out there that our Hawaii Leaders have the foresight to make the right choices for our community and Mahalo to GameDev and ACI for fighting the good fight!

Aloha,

Mark
