Knowledge once gained casts a light beyond its own immediate boundaries.

Today was very enlightening to say the least. I continued working my way through the C# Survival Guide, having completed 61% so far. At this point I started learning more advanced concepts and touched on areas I have not had any exposure too. I dug into Static Types, Properties, NameSpaces, Lists, Enums and Dictionaries. It was a lot to take in but wow I can already see ways I can improve my Space Shooter the next time I decide to spend some time optimizing my code and adding new features. My mind really opened up today on all the possibilities and I can’t wait to put some of the new concepts I have learned to practical use in my projects.

Satisfied with how much I learned so far from the C# Survival Guide, I decided to jump into The Great Fleece finally. Wow, I jumped into a whole new world. I did not get too far, basically got through Project Setup and the Environment & Lighting. I am very impressed with the level of detail put into this tutorial. I really enjoyed the walkthrough on how all the materials and lightings were created and applied to different GameObjects in the scene. It’s amazing how many characteristics can be changed for materials and lighting. Mesh Textures, Metallic, Smoothness, TileMap Size, Color Maps, Occlusion Maps, Emissions, Light Probes, Reflections are just some of the new concepts I learned in the Stealth Game, all very well explained in the Course.

Between what I learned in the C# Survival Guide and the Stealth Game my brain was ready to explode so here I am capping my day with my Medium article and ready for a good night’s rest so I can fill my brain with the light of knowledge again tomorrow!

Goodnight!
